Viva Arte Viva, the 57th International Art Exhibit, closed on November 26th, 2017. The exhibition was arranged by La Biennale di Venezia and curated by Christine Macel, and lasted around six months in total. The show attracted an outstanding number of over 615,000 visitors, which is a dramatic increase from previous years’ attendance records.

The fascinating exhibition featured 120 artists from around the globe, and brought new vision to the world’s further interest in contemporary art. In reflection on the exhibition’s reasoning for success, La Biennale di Venezia’s president Paolo Baratta stated that, “there is the public’s growing familiarity with contemporary art. It is nice to think that this bond is the outcome of their desire to have art and artists as travel companions.”
